Are profiles verified? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
Yes. All member profiles will be checked when created and when any changes are made. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not include any personal information in your profile, including, but not limited to: your home address, a personal beeper, cell or telephone number, a "real" email address or personal web address or bank details. Attempts to advertise other services via our website is prohibited and any attempts to do so will result in legal action being taken and the offender being banned from the site.
We also are in the process of establishing direct communication with each member and ,when not possible to meet the member in person due to distance, availability, etc, we enforce webcam verification to ensure the identity of each member is correct.
After the initial signup and periodically we try to verify the identity of our members the best we can. Still, we cannot perform this on a daily basis; that's why we strongly encourage the use of web cams: if the person you meet via web cam chat is not the person behind the online profile, or if the profile information is not matching, please report this member to us.
You may only upload a real and recent photo/video of yourself. We strive to confirm every member's identity. Maximum photo size is 100K Supported file types: jpeg, gif. The primary photo should be a portrait of your face, you should be easily recognisable, alone, and facing the camera. Only actual member pictures will be approved. Other pictures will result in account suspension and repeated violators will be banned from our website. Your pictures will appear on the site ONLY AFTER they have been approved in advance by our Support team. Screening your pictures may take several days. Please do not upload other material, including but not limited to obscene images, copyrighted images, images of others, images of body parts, images wearing sun glasses or otherwise concealed and unclear images. nudity, illegal images, celebrities, art objects, children, animals, plants, nudity, cartoons characters, vehicles, landscapes, groups of people, pictures containing links, messenger id-s, phone numbers.
You may upload a video representing yourself. Maximum video size is 7MB Supported file types: mp3, avi, wmv, mpg, mpeg. The video profile is defintely a more exciting way to introduce yourself and attract more members to your profile. You may use a video camera or any digital device able to record digital videos, including some cellular phone. Please DO NOT upload obscene files, pornographic or files that contain illegal actions or dangerous activities, files that instigate hatred, defamation or violence of any kind, or files that are forbidden by law.
Feel free to write as much as you want in our sign-up pages. Tell other members about yourself, your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more later. And don't forget to fill out the Match Maker Criteria section - this will also help other members get to know you better.
How do I change my personal information?
Changing personal information is extremely easy. If you would like to update the information about yourself that you submitted during registration, write a new heading and description for your profile and/or edit the main criteria for your matches - simply go to the "Edit profile" option. There you can edit any part of your personal information; save it by clicking the "Save" button.
You can delete your profile at any time by following the link "Suspend Your Account" on the "Member Services" page, which may be accessed on any page.
The Match Maker is arguably the most important of our matching criteria. It is a questionnaire based around your own interests and pastimes, what you are looking for in a partner, and your vital statistics. This information will help you to find someone who matches your interests and best suits you as a person.
What is the "Hot List" feature?
When looking at search results, listings, and other members’ profiles, you can see the button "Add this member to your HotList". Clicking on this will do exactly what it says. Your HotList is a list of members that you are interested in. It keeps a link to their page and remembers the last time you sent them an email. You may also view your hot list by clicking "Saved Profiles" in your member profile detailed view.
You can remove people from your Hotlist by clicking on the "Delete this member from you Hot List" checkbox next to their name in the gallery or page.
What is the "Block List" feature?
While viewing members' profiles or reading or replying to messages in your Mailbox, you have an option to add members to a "Block List". After you have added someone to your "Block List" you will not receive any notifications, cards or emails from this particular member unless you remove him or her from the "Block List". This feature helps you limit your contact with people that you don’t really want to communicate with. In order to to this please log in, then click on "Main Page". Scroll down to "My Stuff" then click on " Block Incoming Mail". On the "Block users list" enter the member name you wish to block to avoid further communication with this member. Or you may simply click the "Block From Contact" link on the member's profile, in the gallery view or detailed member page.
What is the "see more like him/her" feature?
Once you located a profile of your choice you may want to see if there are other members with similar vital statistics, like, dislikes, etc. Please click the link "See more like him/her" and more profiles will appear. You may want to save these profles in your hot list by clicking "add to favorites".
Once you sign up for an account you get to choose your own password. Please save it in a safe place in case you forget it. Do not use vital information such as birth dates, home address, phone numbers.
